Full-Arch Zirconia Bridge

The full arch zirconia bridge is the final fixed prosthesis on implants that replaces all the teeth of an arch. It is the last stage of an All-on-4 or All-on-6 rehabilitation and is made entirely in the laboratory of our Tirana clinics, in close collaboration between the doctor and the dental technician. Zirconia is a latest generation ceramic material, extremely strong, biocompatible and with a translucency very close to that of natural enamel.

What is a full arch zirconia bridge?

It is a single structure that reproduces twelve or fourteen teeth together with the gum, milled from a block of zirconia with CAD/CAM technology and then hand characterised by the ceramist to obtain natural colour, shape and translucency. The bridge is screwed onto the implants and can only be removed by the doctor for periodic maintenance. Unlike old resin prostheses, zirconia does not stain, does not absorb odours, does not wear and keeps its appearance over time.

When is it indicated?

The full arch zirconia bridge is indicated as the final prosthesis after the implants have healed in a complete rehabilitation, or to replace an old resin or metal ceramic prosthesis on existing implants. How is it made in our Tirana clinics?

The work starts with digital impressions taken with the intraoral scanner and with photos of the face, which allow the laboratory to design the bridge on the computer taking into account the smile, the lips and the line of the eyes. Before the final milling a trial version is tried in the mouth, on which the patient and the doctor check aesthetics, speech and bite and agree on any changes. Only after approval is the bridge milled in zirconia, characterised by the ceramist and screwed onto the implants with a final check of the torque and the bite.

How long is the stay?

A stay of five to seven days in Tirana is normally enough for impressions, trial fittings and final delivery. The own laboratory allows corrections to be made on the same day, without waiting. Patients replacing an old prosthesis on already integrated implants need no surgery at all.

Intermediate checkups can be done by video call, and the doctor who treated you remains your point of contact after you return home.
